Update on the Road to $Million

Update on What’s Happened Since June 2

We’ve been busy since winning the Make Mine a $Million Award in San Francisco on June 2, 2006!

You know, sometimes it feels like the to-do list only gets longer—never shorter, but when I look back at all that’s happened in the 3 ½ months since winning the Make Mine a $Million Award, it’s amazing all that I’ve accomplished!

The biggest accomplishment has been in support and networking. I worked with a fantastic coach through the Coach Connection program and really got some fantastic ideas and projects cooking thanks to Coach Willa. Thanks to her support and troubleshooting with my reluctance to network, I’ve really made a lot of progress. Most importantly, it’s progress that feels comfortable and realistic. www.coachconnection.com, www.coachwilla.com.

I realized, too, that apart from formal networking, I’ve also come a long way with informal networking. Through fellow Make Mine a $Million awardee Julie Fogg, www.activeport.com. I learned about the UCLA Anderson School of Management’s Management Development of Entrepreneurs program as well as a full scholarship through NAWBO-LA. Thanks to Julie’s encouragement, I was accepted for both, and started the MDE last night! It’s going to be quite a challenge, but it’s also exhilarating to think how far I’ll come in just another 3 months as I go through the MDE program.

At the MDE orientation, I was delighted to see that among the group of 35, I already knew 4 people thanks to Make Mine a $Million (fellow awardee Patricia Kelly of Limerick, Inc. www.limerickinc.com. is also a classmate) and NAWBO-LA. www.nawbola.org That would not have been the case only a year ago!

Thanks to the coaching and support I’ve received through Make Mine a $Million, I’ve come so far in such a short amount of time…..I can hardly wait to see where I am a year from now!

I'm learning so much that I've started a blog, http://www.peace-talks.com/divorcemediation/index.php and I've really updated the web site, www.peace-talks.com. It's all very exciting!
